FlowCheck Technology The AlcoMate Pro alcohol detector now includes innovative FlowCheck technology. An important aspect of breath testing is ensuring that subjects blow a large volume of air through the tester. FlowCheck will verify that enough air has been blown through the AlcoMate Pro breathalyzer before displaying a test result. If the FlowCheck engages and recognizes that not enough air was blown, an error message "ERR" will be displayed and the test should be repeated. Because the AlcoMate Pro alcohol breath tester measures the amount of alcohol in a subject's deep lungs air, a longer breath sample of 5 seconds provides more accurate test results. One-way-Air Flow The AlcoMate Pro features a "one-way-flow" disposable mouthpiece which prevents fresh air inhalation. Negative blow or fresh-air- blow can both severely undermine test accuracy.
