Brunton 5006LM International Pocket Transit

This "International"* Brunton 5006LM pocket transit compass is the most popular aluminum body version because it is waterproof and dustproof. It has the traditional machined aluminum compass body finished in a durable textured light grey enamel. Brass hinges and pivots are attached to the pocket transit by screws. The International suspension was introduced in the late 1970's as more field professionals found themselves working on projects throughout the globe. The International design effectively reduces needle "dip" when professionals travel to different hemispheres of the globe. Powerful Alnico V magnets are mounted to a polished, cupped sapphire jewel bearing, allowing for smooth needle movement.
